He is survived by: his wife Rita Shelton; his children, Larry Brian Shelton, Brittany Kraemer (Scott) and Bethany Cockrum (Scott); his sisters, Belvie Turner and Bonnie Payne (Larry); and his grandchildren, Gracie Brown, Trenton Brown, Brinna Kraemer, Anabelle Cockrum and Isaac Cockrum.
