He was predeceased by: his parents, Lafayette Luster Cox and Dazzalee Stinson Cox; his siblings, Eloise House, George Cox, Charlie Cox, Hayes Cox, Hubert Cox, Thurman Cox, Roy Cox, Marguerite Cox and Mary Ann Cox; and his niece Tina Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Robbin Jackson; his niece Florine; and his daughters, Laverne Cox of Humboldt Tennessee, Francis Edwards of Shelbyville Tennessee, Emma Jackson-Peninie of Milwaukee Wisconsin and De'aundrea Gooch-Cole (Jason) of Jackson Tennessee. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and dear friends.
