It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helena Cook of Humboldt, Tennessee, born in Grand Junction, Tennessee, who passed away on October 5, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Pledge and Rosie Pledge; her daughters, Jennifer and Cherry Cook; her husband Vance Hobert Cook; and her siblings, Katherine Miller (Lee), Carrie Pledge, James Pledge (Sharlene), Willie Ed Pledge, Lawrence Pledge (Mary) and Ralpheal Pledge (Erma).
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Hicks (Roy), Kimberly D. Cook and Pamela Fowler (Glen); her granddaughters, Mercedes Floyd and Shelby Cook; her siblings, Myrtle Cook (Leonard), Udell Pledge (Mary) and Larry Pledge (Jeanette); her grandchildren, Kiuana Cook, Royshun Hicks, Jada Hicks, Jalen Hicks, Trent Green Jr., DaMarcus Williams and Moriah Green; her great grandchildren, Kamryn Hicks and Amelia Hicks; her godchildren, Darlene Whiteside of Des Moines, IA, Darrius Jenkins of Des Moines, IA, Schronda Pittman Gibbs of Cedar Rapids, IA, Lacrissha Whiteside of Cedar Rapids, IA and Darrion McKinnie of Humboldt, TN; and her close friend Pamela Moore. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins and friends.
Private immediate family services, due to the Covid-19 outbreak, for Ms. Helena Cook will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Humboldt, TN.
