She is survived by: her spouse Ulus Strayhorn; her children, Glenn Strayhorn and Sherry Jackson (James); and her siblings, Curlie Williams (Reatha), Wilma Nwanze (Emmanuel) and Rachel Williams. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
