It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eva Mae Scates of Humboldt, Tennessee, who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Conley and Lovie Conley; her grandchild Cordarius Wynne; and her sister Linda Merriweather. She is survived by: her husband Clarence "Rick" Scates; her children, Kwanda King (Curtis) of LaVergne and Eric Scates (Ashlen) of Clarksville, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Alexis Wynne, Myrical Wilson, Emryn Scates, Ja'Brien Washington, Aneal Scates, Cahlise Scates, Kahlani Scates and Chandler Davis; her siblings, Jimmy Sheffield (Robbie) of Jackson, Tony Conley (Sylvia) of Memphis, Thomas Conley (Venita) of Dyer, Tennessee, Shirley Pledge of Memphis, Deborah Morgan, Bertha Shutes and Joyce Shutes of Humboldt, Tennessee; and her nephew James Conley (Sylvia) of Mesa. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Baskerville Funeral Home - Humboldt (802 N 9th Ave, Humboldt, TN 38343). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
