He is survived by: his father Ronnie Swafford of Milan; his daughters, Aerin Swafford of Los Angeles, CA and Autumn Swafford of Clearwater, FL; his granddaughter Madison Jakubowski of Clearwater, FL; and his siblings, Wendy Bates (Richard) of Oakfield and Jeremy Swafford (Jocelyn) of Memphis.

“I have so many beautiful memories of Barry in our youth. We called him Swaffalove! He could dance and he loved to. We reconnected last year and I was happy to hear from him- and disappointed in myself for not continuing the conversation , as current life seems to override the past. Barry was a good guy, sensitive and easy to be with yet full of his own beautiful mystery. I'm so sad to hear he has left us, and so sorry for his family, who are grieving a huge loss.
