He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Thompson and Mary Lou Thompson (Wiggs); his wife Sandra (Sharp); his daughter Sherri; his friends, Charles Dye, Terry Cherry, Elmer Adair and Yogi; and also Walt.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers for donations to be made to the Lewis County Cancer Victims Fund, a calling and organization that is very near and dear to his and Sandra's heart.
