She was predeceased by: her father Charlie Haynes; her husbands, Lester Bowen and Tom Kilpatrick; her children, Joyce Dicus, Jewell Powers and Diane Gay; her grandchildren, James Michael Chappell, TJ Bunch, Laura Shapiro and Leigh Gay Warren; and her son-in-law Eddie Minyard.

She is survived by: her children, L. C. Bowen (Wilma) and Brenda Treadwell (Robert). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
