He is survived by: his parents, James Cotton and Dorothy Smithson Cotton; his daughter Jamie Cotton of Hohenwald; his grandchildren, Braxton Shirley, Jocelyn Shirley and Bentley Shirley; his brothers, Todd Cotton (Cindy) of Henderson, TN and Treavor Cotton of Nashville; and his siblings-in-law, Randy Cole (Shannon), Roger Cole (Cheryl), Carl Cole, Wanda Cockrel (Bobby), Patricia Moore (Randall), Mary Alice Tidwell, Gearldean Ready (Tank) and Phyllis Polk (Michael). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
