He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Whitaker (Whittington); his children, Joseph Whitaker, Jr. of Waynesboro, Wesley Whitaker of Centerville and Crystal Roberts (Paul) of Clacton; his stepsons, David Butler and Chris Butler of Dickson; and also Teressa Hinson. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
