He was predeceased by: his father Alvin Eugene. He is survived by: his wife Rita Murphy; his children, Kristy Ann Smith and Johnny Alvin Murphy, Jr.; his stepchildren, Annie Lanier (Ted), Darlena Burns (Timmy), Diana Reese (James), Christina Graham and Robert Blish (Destiny Burkey); and his siblings, Janice Bridges, Danny Murphy (Carla), Tony Murphy (Bobbie), Tammy Baker (Jason) and Lesa Murphy. He is also survived by several grandchildren + 1 on the way and many great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
