He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe H. Shipp and Hazel Shipp (Fain). He is survived by: his close friend Shirley Tharp; his wife Shirley Shipp of Hohenwald, TN; his children, Judy Shipp Jones (Steve) of Waynesboro, TN, Sheryl Shipp Sharp (Jerry) of Hohenwald, TN and Terry Shipp (Michelle) of Hohenwald, TN; his sister Betty Breece of Centerville, TN; his grandchildren, Coleman Thompson (Katelyn), Amber Glover (Zachary) and Hallie Shipp (Kaleb Williams); and his great grandchildren, Atlas, Brody Glover, Jaxton Williams, Ila Kate Thompson, Piper and Paisley Williams.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Lewis County Cancer Victims Fund.
