He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Odom and Annie Staggs; his spouses, Shirley Gauthier, Mary Ruth Odom and Betty Fay Odom; his son Billy Seymour; his brothers, James, George Ray, Sandy Willis and Lester Odom; his brother-in-law Cecil Baker; and his close friends, Jim Oliver, Ishmael Bunch, Tom Libich and Burrell Brown.

He is survived by: his children, Rodney Odom (Angela), Sam Odom (Shirley), Randy Seymour (Julie) and Ida Schaub; his brother Gene Odom; his stepdaughter Kimberly Tatum (James); his grandchildren, Janet Odom, Jennifer Knowlton, Jake Odom, Rudy Knowlton, Kari Fosnight, Dezaray Runions, Kristie Schaub, Chris Shupiery, Tessa Seymour, Caitlin Haddock, Caleb Odom and Erik Odom; his caregivers, Pam Holder, Julie and Brittany; and his close friends, Tom Alford, Mike James, Bennett, Junior Davis, Darryl Mayberry, Terry Bunch and Vince Hinson. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Lewis County Cancer Victims Fund.
