He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvis Morton and Mary B. Dale Morton. He is survived by: his siblings, George Morton (Vonna) of Hohenwald, Floyd Morton of Columbia, Jerry Morton of Hohenwald and Margaret Ann Kendall of Hohenwald; and his close friends, Doug and Marilyn McCandless. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
