It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Athen Martin Jones Sr. of Hohenwald, Tennessee, born in Russellville, Alabama, who passed away on July 7, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Jones and Margaret Jones; his wife Shirley Jones; his daughter Shirley Mosley; his granddaughter Valerie Mosley; his siblings, Virgil Jones, Lossie Johns and Flora Mae Dawson; and his son-in-law Randy Williams.
He is survived by: his children, Athen M. Jones, Jr. (Stella) and Marion Williams; his grandchildren, David Yarbrough (Karla), Kiah Colebrooke (Ronnie), Joseph Yarbrough, Jesse Yarbrough, Tristen Yarbrough, Devin Jones, Elizabeth Jones, Baylee Jones, Eddie Mosley (Deanna), Steve Mosley (Christina), Vanessa Hampton, Carla Mosley and Shanalee Arellano; his sister Gladys Martin; and his son-in-law Paul Mosley. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
