He was predeceased by: his father Ralph Edsil Choate; and his brothers, Tillman and Perry Choate. He is survived by: his mother Patty Choate (Kennemur); his wife Lisa Choate; his children, Joshua Choate (Christina), Jason Matthew Kennedy (Valerie), Brett David Kennedy (Michelle), Christa Jean Mashburn (Joseph), Toni Lynn McFly (Lucas) and Amber Groves; his sisters, Cindi Baxter (Mike) and Melinda Stone (Lonnie); and his close friends, Chuck Taylor, Darryl, Nicki King, David McCullum and Bill Meek. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. - Lewis County (20 W 2nd St, Hohenwald, TN 38462). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
