She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Wilson and Mary Doxie Spurgeon (Beatty); her husband Joe Skelton; her son Gary Skelton; her grandson Gary Eugene Skelton; her great grandchildren, Ethan Skelton and Branton Sharp; her siblings, Ruth Yates, Clara Jones, Johnnie Webber, Lucille Lomax, Kate Ingram, Herman Spurgeon, Claude Spurgeon, Clarence Spurgeon and Joseph Spurgeon; and her son-in-law Larry Duncan.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Duncan of Hohenwald, Marline Martin (Jody) of Hohenwald, Mary Craig (Van) of Smyrna, Brenda Scott (Terry) of Hohenwald, Renee "Rendy" Gobbell (Gary) of Waynesboro, Larry Skelton (Pam) and Terry Skelton (Denise); her grandchildren, Shawn Skelton, Terra Mincey, Tina Runions, Ryan Skelton, Daniel Scott, Brande Davidson, Nathan Grimes, Josh Skelton, Darrin Duncan, Zachary Gobbell and Matt Phillips; and her niece Becky Sue Dabbs.
