He is survived by: his friends, Bill and Sharon; his children, Bill, Sharon and Chattanooga; his wife Sharon; his children, Christie Alexander (Shaun Littman), Jessica Alexander (Vi Khi Nao), John Williams (Eliza Borné) and Doug Alexander (Angie Turner); his grandchildren, Billie Littman, Ryland Littman, Madeleine Borné-Williams, Augustus Alexander and Alexander Borné-Williams; his sisters, Lisa Alexander (Tom Jones) and Suzelle White (Earl); and also John.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Appalachian Trail Conservancy.
