He was predeceased by: his parents, Cordell Willie Denney and Bertha Basham Denney; and his siblings, Katherine, Gladys and William.
He is survived by: his wife Judy VanDyke Denney; his children, Kathy Vincent, Karen Castleberry (Walter) and Keith Denney (Sandy); his grandchildren, Katie Hartman, Mikayla Clayton, Matthew, Sarah, Caroline Castleberry and April Denney; and his great grandchildren, Marci, Addison, Kason and Madison.
