She was predeceased by: her husband Herman C. Arendale. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Crowe (Steve) of Chickamauga, David Arendale (Cindi) of Hixson and Daryl Arendale (Lina) of Hixson; her grandchildren, Wesley Crowe, Allison Woodard, Madison Mehaffey (Jeremy), Brady Arendale, Colby Arendale (Kaitlyn) and Carrie Arendale; and her great grandchildren, Maddox, Zachary Mehaffey and Claire Woodard.
In lieu of flowers, Jo has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Tennessee Children's Home (Spring Hill, TN) or Tennessee Baptist Children's Home (Lee Hwy – Chattanooga.).
