She was predeceased by: her husband John Dillon Lynch Jr.; her parents, Thomas Eugene and Cora Byrd; and her sister Elisabeth Byrd Sellers. She is survived by: her children, Catherine Bennett (Dan), Marsha Vandergriff (Lynn), Janice Mercer (Bruce) and John D. Lynch III; her grandchildren, Jennifer Nix (Andrew), Amanda Webb (Stephen), Christy Bracewell (Jason) and Carrie Lynch; and her great grandchildren, Preston Nix, Blaklely Nix, Beau Bracewell and Ella Bracewell.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery (1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404).
