He was predeceased by: his parents, Enma Ruiz Melendez of Alas and Cleto Marcial Alas; and his siblings, Ana Maria and Jaime Roberto. He is survived by: his wife Maria Alas; his children, Patricia Margarita Hammontree (Deon), Violeta Jeanette McCormick (Stephan), William Antonio Alas (Shelby), Chaelee (Zach), Olivia, Mackenzie, Elaina, Scarlett, Jacob and Maggie Jo; and his great grandchildren, Penelope and Savannah.
