It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Smith of Hixson, Tennessee, who passed away on February 28, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Susie Womack and Lewis Womack of Pikeville Tennessee; her son Jeffery Lewis Smith; her former husband James Parker Smith; her sisters, Jean McDowell and Polly Fine; her niece Susan Rae; and her nephew Philip McDowell.
She is survived by: her husband JP; her children, James Gregory Smith (Shannon) and Lydia "Suzanne" Smith Lowe; her grandchildren, Jerred Parker Smith and Taylor McKenzie Smith; her great grandchildren, Josiah Parker Smith and Annaleea Ray Smith; and her nieces and nephews, Mavis Weathers (Gene), Jody Henderson, Brenda Matthews (Lynn), Tom Fine (Freida) and Jimmy McDowell (Isabel).
