He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Ward and Myrtle Ward (Billings); his wives, Anna Marie Ward (Lucchesi) and Mary Lou Ward (Agin); his son Michael E. Ward; and his siblings, Richard H. Ward, Harmer L. Ward, Marcella Klinger, Carolyn Keith and Mary Ward.
He is survived by: his children, Jean A. Salyers, Vickie Lott (Larry), Rosie Wells (Jim Fair), Jawn Hale (Jim), Jim Ward (Tami) and Dave Ward (Brandy). He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
