She was predeceased by: her parents, Denver Morgan Alexander Sr. and Freddie Lee Shaver Alexander; and also Denver Morgan Alexander, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Charles Herport; her children, Scott Thurman of Atlanta, GA, Kelvin Thurman (Jennifer) of Ringgold, GA and Sonya Picklesimer (John) of Soddy Daisy, TN.; her grandchildren, Jared Sheets (Peyton), Rachel Mantooth (Bryce) and Nicole Thurman; her great grandchildren, Piper and Parker Sheets; her nephew Charles Alexander; and her stepchildren, Mandy Palmer and David Herport.
In lieu of flowers, her family is requesting that donations be made to Adult & Teen Challenge MidSouth or Red Bank Baptist Church.
