It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amon L. Swanger (Hixson, Tennessee), who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Swanger and Malinda Swanger of Waynesville, NC.; his wife Mary Dillard Swanger; his son Dr. Roger Swanger; and his siblings, Vivian Moore and Carroll Swanger.
He is survived by: his sons, Edward of Chattanooga, TN, Michael (Billie) of Chattanooga, TN and Dr. Russell Swanger (Jamy) of Augusta, GA.; his brother Jack Swanger; his sisters-in-law, Jo Ellen Dillard of Waynesville, NC and Pat Swanger of Charlotte, NC.; his grandchildren, Nicole Rojas (David), Jessica Crews (Brandon), Danielle, Lee, Rachel, Abby of Logan, RJ and Blake Swanger; and his great grandchildren, Nehemiah, Chloe Rojas and Ellie Crews.
