She was predeceased by: her father Glasco Roosevelt; her husband Thomas Wayne Hewell; her brother Kenneth Johnson; her grandson Shannon Taylor; and her brother-in-law Walter Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Joyce Shelnutt (Joe) and Michael Thomas Hewell (Donna); her grandchildren, Amber Lovelace (Johnny), Tyler Looper (Chelsea), Michael Shelnutt (Diana), Ashley Lickliter (Chris), Lee Shelnutt (Alexandra), Steven Tidrick (Jessica) and Michelle Taylor; her great grandchildren, Walker, Lincoln, Oliver, Franklynn, Charlie and Tate; and her sisters, Judy Crabtree and Hazel Smith. She is also survived by several extended family members and a host of friends.
