He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Walden and Ezell Walden; and his siblings, Joe Walden and Jewell Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Mary Walden; his children, Wiley Walden (Temi), Danny Walden, Carl Walden, Jr. (Gloria) and Wanda Heughan (Gordon); and his siblings, Charlie Walden (Sarah) and Brenda Perry (Robert). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Carl's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
