He is survived by: his parents-in-law, James Wilburn and Ona Mae Hammons; his sister Carolyn Ash; his siblings-in-law, Wanda Rodgers, R. E. "Bud" Ash, Larry Gene Hammons and Thomas Eslinger; his cousin Huey Mott; his close friends, Ernie Boren and Rich Emerson; his wife Betty Hammons Stewart; his sister Brenda Eslinger of Waco, Texas; his sons, Keith (Leigh Anne) of Brentwood, Todd (Leigh Ann) of McMinnville and Jason (Christine) of Davis, CA.; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Lynn Lambert, Linda Tinch (Winton), Brenda Mooney (Larry), Shirley Clifft (Ted), Billy Rodgers, Phillip (Deborah) and Doug Hammons (Tammy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
He requested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society and Middleton Church of Christ.
