He is survived by: his parents, Tracy McHaney (Rhonda Miller) and Penny Johnson; his wife Billie Jean Martin McHaney; his stepdaughter Carla Grissom (Jared) of Germany; his brother Andrew McHaney of Frankfort, KY.; his grandchildren, Hunter Grissom and Bentlee Johnson; his uncle Ricky McHaney (Pam) of Dresden; and his aunts, Terri McHaney of Nashville, Sheliah Mallory of Nashville and Dyan Panah of Dresden. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
