He was predeceased by: his wife Lisa Cherry; his sister Marina Weaver; his father William "Spud" Eugene Seaborn; his grandmother Dafoe Seaborn; his stepfather William R. Akines; his grandmother Margaret Bell Timbs; his stepgrandfather William "Bud" Timbs; and his grandfather James Bell.

He is survived by: his sons, David Cherry and Austin Welker; his brother-in-law Ronnie Weaver; his grandchildren, Khayson Cherry, Jhayce Cherry and Avery Welker; his mother Margaret Nell Akines; his sisters, Tina Adams and Ramona Riling (Dave); his adoptive father Roy Cherry (Liz); his nieces and nephews, Rachel Sokoloff (Mike), Lindsay Mulholland (Rick), Bill Akines III (Amber), Chris Riling (Erin), Jeff (Summer), Jason (Josette) and Mike (Heather); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Maggie Akines, Brooklyn Barton, Kelsey Gregory, Cooper Akines, Sawyer Akines, Brayden Barton, TJ Gregory, Jayme Gregory and Cameron Gregory.
