She was predeceased by: her parents, John William and Lily Nadine Sanders Ashton; and her husband Terry Ellis Lowery. She is survived by: her son Ashton Lowery of Old Hickory, Tennessee; and her sisters, Cassandra King (Bill) of Springfield and Regina Kirkman (Tim) of Owensboro. She is also survived by two nieces and two nephews, as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.
