We are sad to announce that on June 3, 2020, at the age of 86, Loretta Lazarus of Hermitage, Tennessee, born in Elwood, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Smith and Jenny Smith (Wilhoite); and her brother Rex Smith. She is survived by: her husband Col. Bill G. Lazarus of Hermitage, TN; her children, Beth Ann DeWitt (Donald) of Muncie and Les Lazarus (Mary) of Hermitage, TN; her grandchildren, Joshua Lazarus, Andrew Lazarus, Stephen Lazarus (Felicia), Ashley Craig (Brian), Michelle Hickey (Shane) and Sarah Ferguson (Eliott); and her siblings, Carl Smith of Anderson, Phillip Smith of Elwood, Allen Smith of Elwood, David Smith of Elwood, Dot Rittenhouse of Elwood, Peg Smith of Elwood, Kathy Burris of Elwood, Lilly Overby of Anderson and Diana Holtsclaw of Frankton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
