He was predeceased by: his wife Marion Rutland Gale; and his siblings, Stanley F. Gale, William Gale, Ann Elizabeth and Barbara Gale.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Keith Gale (Lauren) and Lauren Shullaw (Ben). He is also survived by three children.

Memorials may be made to Powell Grove Church of Christ.
