He is survived by: his children, Jerry Carey, Jr., Darryl Carey (Petra) and Rodney Carey (Tonya); his sister Mattie Johnson; and his grandson Jason Carey. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
