He was predeceased by: his parents, James Jett and Esther Jett of Hickory; his son Levar Jett; and his siblings, Joe Sam Jett and Earnestine Joyner.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Daniel Jett; his children, Tracy of Smithfield and Angel of Hermitage, Tennessee; his granddaughter Gianna Jett of Hendersonville; his siblings, Nathaleen Cole of Flint Michigan, Mary Joice Jett of Hickory, James Thomas Jett (Annie), Nathaniel Jett, Sr. of Columbia, Jarrel Jett of Hickory and Jason Jett of Hickory; his father-in-law Willie Daniel, Jr. (Crystal) of Port Allen, Louisiana; and his siblings-in-law, Reverend Lacy Joyner, Sr. of Rocky Mount, Leonard Daniel (Catina) of Katy, Texas, Sheila Savoy (Michael) of Louisiana, Zetta Daniel of Louisiana and Willa Harden (Gary) of Louisiana. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
