He was predeceased by: his father Ronald K. Alford; his grandparents, Dolly Terrapin Waterfallen, Eli Waterfallen, Sr., Agnes Moore Alford and James Edward Alford; his mother Mary Frances Waterfallen Alford; and his nephew Chase Westmoreland.

He is survived by: his grandson Porter Chase; his wife Laura "Sunshine" R. Alford; his children, Jacob N. Alford, Jamison D. Alford, Allison Boland (Chris) and Courtney Guion; his grandchildren, Porter Chase Alford, Carter Stroud, Lilah Boland, Ethan Boland, Emma Boland, Owen Boland, Alexis Guion and Katelynn Guion; and his sister Michele Overstreet.
