It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garnett Crawford Polk (Hermitage, Tennessee), who passed away on February 2, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Crawford and Tommie Lee Crawford (Jones); her siblings, Juanita Worrell (Billy) of Cleveland and Rufus S. Crawford (Barbara) of Memphis, Tennessee.; and her close friend Melvin S. Polk, Sr..

She is survived by: her sons, Pashay R. Polk (Robbie), Tommy R. Polk (Debbie), Gregory A. Polk (Lisa) and Dr. Melvin S. Polk, Jr. (Adolfina); her sisters, Ann C. Polk (James) of Altadena and Barbara Borom (Eddie) of Atlanta, Georgia; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara Crawford of White Plains, Dorothy Rivers of Atlanta, Georgia and Manfred Polk of Lexington, Mississippi. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, a host of cousins, and friends.
