He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Carter Galbreath Sr. and Lucile Derseweh Galbreath; his wife Mary Pulliam Dunn Galbreath; his daughter Rebecca Dale Galbreath; his grandson Christopher Thomas Galbreath; his children, Edward Carter Galbreath III (Denise), Keturah Susanne Lockridge and Paula Lucile Watson (Greg); his grandchildren, Michael Galbreath (Victoria), Bridget Galbreath, Matthew Lockridge, Daniel Lockridge, John Lockridge (Alex), Rebecca Roth (Greg), Cassie Harvey (Jeff), Mary Vanderpool (Jeremy) and Rachel Branham (Ethan); his great grandchildren, Ryan Galbreath, Evan Galbreath, Braiden Skelton (Josh), Kayla Dorr, Landon Agee, Brody Greenwood, Atticus Phipps, Sawyer Roth, Mason Roth, Kinley Roth, Maisie Vanderpool and Beckham Vanderpool; and his great great grandchild Chaselynn Dorr.
