He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Margaret Smiley; his parents, Clarence Douglas Smiley and Vera Bea Cox Smiley; and his brothers, John David Smiley and Bobby Eugene Smiley.
He is survived by: his children, Gerri Holt (Leslie), Leisa Geiger (Joe) and Doug Smiley (Diane); his grandchildren, Adam, Andrew Holt, Haden Geiger, Megan Suttle and Landon Smiley; his great grandchildren, Aiden, Autumn and Jackson Holt; and his niece Donna Thompson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
