He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. J. A. Biggs and Bessie L. Biggs (Moses); and his brothers, Thomas Wayne Biggs, Archie Randall Biggs and James Wallace Biggs.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara L. Biggs; his daughter Jennifer Renee Stump (Biggs); his siblings, Melba Jean Martin (Biggs), Shirley Riley (Biggs), Ethelene Klepfer (Biggs), Carolyn Gray (Biggs), Jacque Lynn Hambrick (Biggs) and Phillip Michael Biggs; and his grandchildren, William Austin Stump and Alyssa Nicole Stump.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in memoriam of Sergeant Donny Biggs to the Nashville Fraternal Order of Police Foundation, 440 Welshwood Drive, Nashville, TN 37211 to help provide aide to wounded or fallen police officers.
