He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Ray and Edythe Cavilla Boyd; and his brother Richard Allen Boyd, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Slaughter Boyd of Hermitage, TN; and his siblings, James Klim, Sr. of Boston and Sandra Boyd (English Lacy) of Hopkinsville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and several great great nieces and nephews.
