Charles William Hendry Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles William Hendry Sr. of Hermitage, Tennessee, born in Savannah, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 10, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carroll Sidney Hendry, Sr. and Mary Alice Shave Hendry; his brother C. S. "Sidney" Hendry, Jr.; his son Charles William "Chuck" Hendry, Jr.; his grandson James Clayton Ownbey; his wife June Smith Hendry; his children, Charlene Rowenhorst (Steve) and Chris Hendry (Angela); his grandchildren, Christa Gray (Will), Dakota Rowenhorst, Hannah Hendry, Charles Carter Hendry (Bryleigh), Shelby Hendry (Bryant), Claire Hendry, Mary Elizabeth Hendry Ellis (Andrew) and Lily Hendry; his great grandchild Savannah Gray (Pop); his brother-in-law Jimmy Smith (Leslie); and also Abbie Hendry Hammett (Brian).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (3832 Central Pike, Hermitage, TN 37076). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
