With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles William Hendry Sr. of Hermitage, Tennessee, born in Savannah, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 10, 2024 at the age of 86. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carroll Sidney Hendry, Sr. and Mary Alice Shave Hendry; his brother C. S. "Sidney" Hendry, Jr.; his son Charles William "Chuck" Hendry, Jr.; his grandson James Clayton Ownbey; his wife June Smith Hendry; his children, Charlene Rowenhorst (Steve) and Chris Hendry (Angela); his grandchildren, Christa Gray (Will), Dakota Rowenhorst, Hannah Hendry, Charles Carter Hendry (Bryleigh), Shelby Hendry (Bryant), Claire Hendry, Mary Elizabeth Hendry Ellis (Andrew) and Lily Hendry; his great grandchild Savannah Gray (Pop); his brother-in-law Jimmy Smith (Leslie); and also Abbie Hendry Hammett (Brian).
