With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Worthington Madden McLaughlin of Hermitage, Tennessee, born in Greenup, Kentucky, who passed away on December 24, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Worthington and Sadie Worthington; her husband Robert McLaughlin; her stepmother Viola Worthington; and her siblings, Curt, Robert, Glen, Bud, Midge Claxon, Mae Abdon, Minnie Robertson and Carolyn Wolfe.
She is survived by: her daughter Theresa Jane Madden Hostetler (Ron) of Hermitage, TN; her stepchildren, Loretta Kilcourse of Danbury, CT, Patty Garrison of Kenova, WV and Jim McLaughlin of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, Erica Manly (John), Jonathan Hostetler (Michaela), Rachel Mandola, Bridget VanderVeen and Ryan Kilcourse; her great grandchild Savannah Rae Manly; her sister-in-law Lois Worthington; and her sisters, Katy Ann Trout, Rosemary Evans, Georgia Kay Bays, Sandy Floyd, Chloteen Mowery, Darlene Hobson and Donna Sue Cooper. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 virus there will be a private family service conducted by Dr. Tom Melvin at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup.
