He is survived by: his wife Lucinda Overcast Byars; his children, Elizabeth Hoffman of McKenzie, TN and John Byars (Ashton) of Paris; his grandchildren, Shawn Byars, Hailee Clingan, Taylin Hoffman, Jayden Byars, Finley Byars, Aubrey Hoffman, Sara Byars, Madelyn Hoffman, Reed Byars and Shepherd Byars; and his siblings, Mary Ann Rumley of McMinnville, TN, Deborah Keith of Nashville, Jimmy Byars (Janice) of Dover, TN and Randy Byars (Patricia) of Paris. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
