She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Frank Barrett and Minnie Lou Barrett of Henry County; her brothers, Charles Barrett and R. C. Barrett (Jimmy Barrett) of Henry County; and her spouse Harrell. She was also cherished by eight nieces and nephews.

Until the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Phillips were active in the fellowship of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
