He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian McEwen and Bertie McEwen. He is survived by: his wife Carol McEwen; his sons, Kenneth McEwen (Stephanie) and Jason McEwen (Megan); his sister Sandra Newman; and his grandchildren, Linda, Mandy, Savanah McEwen, Patrick McEwen, Caleb McCoun, Elizabeth McCoun, John Carney, Danielle McEwen and Natalie Romer. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.

The family welcomes flowers; however, in lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Eugene McEwen to Center Point General Baptist Church.
