With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William C. Dorris of Hendersonville, Tennessee, who passed away on November 29, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint William leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dorris and Cecelia Dorris (Kirkham). He is survived by: his wife Lee Dorris (Lancaster); his children, Doug (Cathy), Jeff (Michelle) and Kelli (Austin); his granddaughters, Baylee and Billi; and his sisters, Anne Harris of Harrisburg, NC and Nancy Alvis (Danny) of Hendersonville, TN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Indianapolis (8600 N College Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46240). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at the Hamilton Memorial Park (4180 Westfield Rd, Westfield, IN 46074).
