He is survived by: his wife Delores Compton; his children, Melissa Hester (Michael) and Brian Compton; his stepdaughters, Deannie Hughes (David) and Dana Hight; his grandchildren, Matt Hughes (Kacie), A. J. Hughes (Hannah), Carson Hughes (Christian), Turner Hester (Stormey), Drew Hester (Fiona McPherson), Reed Hester, Hailee Hester and Savanna Cole; and his siblings, Sam Compton (Carolyn) and Peggy Crosby-Klugman. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
