He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Walter Rein and Helen Rozycki Rein; his sister Lois; and his brother-in-law Gay Terry. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Gross Rein; his children, Jennifer Hammond (Rick), Buddy Rein (Meribeth), Sydney Rein and Mandy Kalb; his grandchildren, Cody, Megan, Kelly, Katrina and Mia; and his brother Robert Rein (Linda).
